Where the People Make the Difference

FULL GOSPEL LIGHTHOUSE
Full Gospel Prayer Group (R)

The Gospel Lighthouse, initially known as The Full Gospel Prayer Group, was established in 1953 by Rev. Albert Emerson Graham and. Enid Margaret Graham when they were in their early 30.
They welcomed a young man, Mr. Arnold Burns Bishop, into their home, who later became a pastor.
The Grahams began their ministry by holding services at the True Blue Hall in Barrie, which originally was on Mulcaster Street before relocating to the corner of Dunlop and High Street, now a parking lot.
As the church expanded, the Grahams became pioneers of the Pentecostal movement in Barrie and moved to the Orange Hall on Burton Ave, near Essa Road. With ongoing, they prayer for a larger building, in 1991, their faith was rewarded with a new location at 156 St. Vincent Street, where services continue today under Rev. John Placido's leadership, and the church remains mortgage-free. PRAISE THE LORD!
